Modern Farmhouse Kitchen with a View - Tanglewood Lane / by Amber Burroff

A gorgeous and gourmet kitchen at our latest property - Tanglewood Lane.

The kitchen in the original home was complete with painted peach walls and flowered decomposing wallpaper. Straight out of a 1960’s horror movie, it was dark and claustrophic and failed to take advantage of the magnificent view behind what is now the kitchen island.

Our designer immediately went to work to reimagine this kitchen for the modern day lifestyle. Walls came down. Opening up the space to create a beautiful flow between the kitchen, dining room, fireplace hearth and most importantly - the outdoors. The designer had a vision - black framed panoramic doors would fold open to allow an indoor/outdoor flow to the room for epic sunset dining on the balcony and to allow mom or dad to cook in the kitchen while still keeping a close eye on the kids in the backyard.

The result is stunning. And functional. You can cook dinner on the Carrera marble topped island with your built-in professional 6-burner Viking cooktop while watching the sun set behind the forest of trees on your property. It’s breathtaking. Yet functional - you can call out to your family in the 3/4 acre large backyard without ever leaving the comfort of your designer kitchen. You can prepare a fresh gourmet meal with vegetables from your own garden in a fabulous kitchen and serve it on your balcony surrounded by trees and Palos Verdes ocean breezes. It is perfection. It is - Bellanova.

Panoramic folding doors create an indoor/outdoor flow that is the pinnacle of SoCal living. And the custom wrought iron modern farmhouse railing adds a dramatic backdrop to your dining experience.
